The Park Vista development will be the conversion of a 78 unit apartment project into an 83 unit apartment project, including a rental office. Park Vista was constructed in 1948 and is made up of three buildings. The buildings are brick and concrete block construction with supporting steel columns and beams. Some roofs are flat and the others are a-frame with slate.

The units were heated from a central boiler and utilized window-unit air conditioners for cooling. Domestic hot water was supplied from a hot water heater. The boiler and hot water heater were gas-fired. PV Limited Partnership completed the interior demolition of the units. As part of the demo work, the following were removed from within the buildings: the interior walls and studs, the water systems, the electrical conduit, the existing gas service, the boiler room equipment, the existing appliances and cabinets and the flooring. The title flooring and mailboxes were removed from the common areas stairways. All asbestos and most lead paint abatement was completed.

The units the Park Vista will be reconfigured while keeping the supporting beams and columns in place. Fifty units receive twelve foot bump cuts that will be of 4’ wood stud construction with vinyl siding. The rental office will be renovated and five new units will be created in the basement space. The project will contain six accessible units. The project will receive long overdue renovations, including the replacement and shoring up the roofs; replacement of windows and doors; installation of new carpeting, title flooring, and plumbing and lighting fixtures; and the relocation and upgrading of bathrooms and kitchens.
